Over the brief operational window, specialized equipment removed approximately 75,000 cubic yards of accumulated sediment and silt from the harbor bed, completing the work approximately one day faster than the typical time frame expected for the area.
Lieutenant Colonel Aaron Anderson, commander of the Army Corps Buffalo District, praised the operation as an effective and responsible use of taxpayer resources.
